Solely  poor  & helpless friendly  Organization “Matri O Shishu Kalyan Sangstha” is a multifaceted  full fledged non govt. institution but registered with 3 Ministry of Bangladesh Govt. including Respected  Prime Minister Office(NSDA) ,with all service for the remotest poor and all free of cost.

Dr. Syed Mohammad Wazed, A Pediatrician from Chittagong moved by the constant cries of mother lost newborn  and new mother with dead baby, amidst crowd of  chamber patients, initiated a private project called Save Mother Save Neonate in 2009 to prevent the death of newborns and new mothers. Beginning the journey through pregnancy care, it gradually inevitably linked to the community––neonatal care, infant-adolescent-maternal care. Due  to increase in  the number of care receivers, the urge to initiate social assistance came to the fore. A little further, 2 more aspects took their place –educational assistance and training for self-employment. Though Educational assistance began with books and other needs fulfilling of school students ,we actually  provided full assistance to HSC helpless poor students of main 4 government colleges of Chittagong for a long time.

In 2012, we started the operation of creating skilled manpower mainly female. Multiple hands of poor women from Boalkhali & adjacent area are already  transformed into skilled sewing workers hand. In 2015, social welfare ministry approved us. Pre-nursing training started in 2020, on receiving registration from health ministry and 15 village doctors we created. In the year 2022, the journey of computer training with the help of BKTT, Chittagong was initiated by the training course for poor female students of local government and private colleges. By the grace of Allah, 31 of our students succeeded in the BTEB (Technical Board) examination in 1 year. At the beginning of 2023, we got the approval of Hon’ble Prime Minister’s Office–NSDA, as a STP, training and assessment center, which is rare in this area. We are the only authorized institution in this extensive area in care giving training. On July 23, we got 95% success in NSDA’s first computer operation level 3 exam and 100% success in care giving exam in December, which is a remarkable event. We want to proceed to a unique height in the service of the needy by starting an emergency outdoor as well as Palliative Care and want to depart from this world by creating an exceptional Sadeqah E Zariah, may Allah accept us.

All these activities are ongoing.
